As an application of the demand addressable sensor network, we will integrate the technologies described in Topic I: Demand Addressable Network、Topic II: Wireless Sensor Network Having Environment Adaptability, in order to implement a prototype wide-area sensor network system. It will be maintenance free and capable of being quickly introduced into a disaster site to monitor the situation efficiently. We plan to conduct a series of demonstration experiments on this system, which has another goal to improve functionality and effectiveness of information management at disaster sites.
By selectively combining sensing data with information issued by existing fire-fighting and disaster-prevention systems in accordance with user demands and actual site conditions, it is believed that this prototype network system will dramatically improve the state of disaster site information management. We conduct experiments with fire-fighting personnel as well, and, as long as necessary, will make continuous improvement towards practical usages.
