- Research and Development Goal
To demonstrate the practical application of our new concept for the wide-area sensor network (Demand Addressable Sensor Network) which actively acquires data at the demand of users, we will develop the following two technologies and then build a system prototype by integrating them.
- Demand addressable network construction technology: A set of technologies that, on user request, searches for and finds sensors and services which hold the desired data, mashes up the acquired data – even when it is in different formats – within the network and provides results to the user.
- Wireless Sensor Network Having Environment Adaptability: A set of technologies to develop a wireless sensor network where the role of each sensor node in the network can be dynamically changed at the demand of a user and from which target data can be actively acquired.
- Methods to Attain Our Goal
To achieve the goal described above, we will implement the following within three years.
Topic I: Demand Addressable Network
Topic II: Wireless Sensor Network Having Environment Adaptability
Topic III: Prototype System
